The data provided to Rome City Institute Via del Casale di San Pio V, 44 00165 Rome, Italy in the website pages is accessible at the address (URL) www.romecityinstitute.com and in the mobile version at the time of registration and subsequently for the use of the services provided from time to time by Rome City Institute, such as access to the reserved area for user management, will be treated in compliance with the provisions of Legislative Decree 196/2003 regarding data protection personal data (“privacy code”), and in compliance with the general data protection regulation (General Data Protection Regulation – EU Regulation 2016/679)

Pursuant to article 13 of the Privacy Code, Rome City Institute informs the user of the following.1.

Nature of the data processed

In order to promote your academic and sports profile, Rome City Institute processes the information you provided at the time of registration; personal data, gender, academic results, English exam results, personal sports videos and photos and contact details are collected together with the information generated during your log in to our services, even if this access takes place through a social media account.

The information collected includes:

  • access credentials and general personal information such as gender, address, telephone and email addresses, sport, academic career and, if you enter them, photos and videos of you;
  • opinions regarding our products and services, in case of participation in an evaluation questionnaire;
  • information used to register and/or enter the portal, in case of registration or participation in promotions or events;
  • information provided in case of telephone contact, such as salaries received, jobs supported;
  • information about the type of device you are using (hardware and software, IP address, device ID and type, device characteristics, app settings and characteristics, app crashes, advertising IDs such as Google’s AAID and Apple’s IDFA, device specific IMEI/UDID and MAC address) and options that you select while browsing the College Life Italia management portal with your access credentials (use of the portal, log in and log out date, searches, clicks and webpages visited within the sites and/or or College Life Italia services).

Purpose of the treatment

The information provided is used for the purpose of succeeding as student-athletes at Rome City Institute.

Provision of data

Simple access to the Site, without using services that require registration, is free and does not involve any processing of personal data.

The provision of the requested data takes place upon registration on the portal for the purposes referred to in section 3 above and is necessary as it is strictly functional to the performance of the same. Any refusal to provide data will make it impossible for College Life Italia to complete the user registration process and therefore to provide the services.

The information provided is treated on a contractual legal basis.

If it is necessary to use information for reasons other than those included in the contract, a further expression of consent will be required. In case of sharing some information with third parties not identified in this statement, Rome City Institute undertakes to communicate the reasons for the transfer and collect specific consent.

 

Data communication

The user’s personal data may be communicated to specific subjects, appointed by the Data Controller to supply services instrumental or necessary for the execution of the obligations connected with registration on the Site, within the limits and in accordance with the instructions given.

In particular, the data may be communicated to partner agencies that perform services similar to those of Rome City Institute and to third parties with assistance functions such as data hosting and maintenance, customer care, greater experience in the search for scholarships in certain sports, advertising , payment options and security, insurance and membership.

Before establishing relations with third parties, the necessary control procedures are implemented to guarantee the protection of the data provided, including the adherence of the partners to a confidentiality agreement.

SMI SSD a RL is a partner of companies such as College life Italia LLC, College Liife srl with which it shares some information in order to improve the provision of the service.

In the event of the sale of all or part of the company shares, merger or corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, corporate dissolution, the information collected could be transferred to the new data controller.

The data, if necessary, will be transferred to comply with a provision of the law or an order of the Judge; to protect the legal rights of Rome City Institute or the rights of users, members or partners; to enforce the contract, to prevent, identify and combat any illegal actions or fraud.

User data is not subject to disclosure. However, if the user publicly comments on an article on the Site without using a pseudonym, the identification data concerning him will be visible.

 

CROSS-BORDER

The transmission of the information referred to in point 2 may also involve non-EU countries such as the United States of America, to promote the user profile in universities, in search of the most suitable sports scholarship.

Processing methods

The data is collected electronically and processed through registration, consultation, communication, conservation, cancellation operations, carried out mainly with the aid of electronic tools, ensuring the use of suitable measures for the security of the data processed and guaranteeing confidentiality of the same.

The user’s data, stored on electronic media, are kept and archived on a server owned by Rome City Institute or on servers dedicated to third-party services.

In particular, the Owner declares that the data recorded on the server are protected against the risk of intrusion and unauthorized access and that he has also adopted suitable security measures to guarantee the integrity and availability of the data as well as the protection of the areas and premises relevant to their custody and accessibility.

Personal data will be processed by collaborators and/or employees of the Data Controller as managers or persons in charge of processing, within the scope of their respective functions and in accordance with the instructions given by the Data Controller.

College Life Italia guarantees the highest level of security in the management of user data.

Rights of the interested party

As a subject interested in the treatment, in line with current legislation on privacy and protection of personal data, the user has the following rights:

– to obtain the rectification or cancellation of the same or the limitation of the treatment that concern him;

– to oppose the treatment;
