A B.S. university major that pairs the fundamentals of business and marketing with a grounding in political science and global affairs — built for students who want to understand how markets, brands, and institutions actually move in a connected world.
Global Business & Marketing is built around three complementary minors. Together, they train students to think commercially, communicate persuasively, and understand the political and institutional context markets operate in.
The operational and financial core of the major — how organizations are managed, financed, and held accountable.
How brands are built, positioned, and measured — from foundational theory through applied research and analytics.
The institutional and policy lens — understanding the governments, organizations, and public forces that shape global markets.
The combination of business, marketing, and political science reflects how commercial decisions actually get made today — alongside regulation, public policy, and international relationships. Graduates are prepared to work across a wide range of industries where those forces intersect.
Import/export, global supply chains, and cross-border business operations.
Agencies, in-house brand teams, and marketing analytics functions.
Public affairs, policy analysis, and government relations roles.
NGOs, international institutions, and mission-driven organizations.
Finance, banking, and corporate strategy functions across sectors.
Strategy consulting, market research firms, and analytics teams.
The major’s blend of business, marketing, and political science maps onto a wide range of entry-level career paths — on its own, or as a strong foundation for graduate study in business, law, or public policy.
Planning and executing brand and campaign strategy.
Supporting global operations, expansion, and market entry.
Turning consumer and market data into strategy.
Bridging business interests with public policy and regulation.
Managing cross-border logistics, vendors, and partnerships.
Assessing how policy and political change affect markets.
Running programs and partnerships for mission-driven organizations.
Managing messaging, PR, and stakeholder communication.
