This collaboration gives student-athletes membership-level access to excellent training facilities, professional coaching, and the opportunity to compete in official tournaments, all while completing a full academic course load in Rome.

By joining the FIG through our program, students become eligible for regional and national competitions. Depending on level and handicap, student-athletes may qualify for:

Youth Pathway

FIG Youth Circuit

Competitive events for players under 18, offering an entry point into official federation play.

National Level

FIG National Championships

Open to student-athletes with a qualifying handicap, competing at the highest domestic level.

Team Play

Team Competitions

Opportunities to represent Golf Parco di Roma in official team competitions throughout the season.

International Selection

Pathways toward international selection for elite players who continue to progress through the program.

What It Takes to Compete

Eligibility for national-level FIG competitions is based on Handicap Index. Youth and regional events are more accessible, welcoming a wider range of playing levels.

Men · National Level

Typical Handicap Index required to compete in national-level events.

Youth & Regional

Up to 36.0

Higher handicaps may be accepted for youth and regional competitions, keeping the pathway open to developing players.

Facilities
Training at Golf Parco di Roma

Student-athletes train on-site at Golf Parco di Roma, with unlimited access to the club’s practice facilities and balls between sessions. Membership also includes course access with a valid handicap, giving every student-athlete a professional environment to develop their game alongside official club competitions.

Golf Parco di Roma practice facilities

Membership & Access: Full membership at Golf Parco di Roma, including course access with a valid handicap and unlimited use of practice facilities and balls.

Coaching: Three practices per week with professional coaches, alongside registration with the Federazione Italiana Golf (FIG).
